Because all I want to do is play around in Photoshop instead of work on the pile of shit I neglected for the past two weeks.
Today I figured out that a properly de-egged 996 would literally just look like a 997.

996 is best 911

They’re essentially the same in many respects. Lots of the mechanical components are directly interchangeable or require minimal work to make fit.
I would love to have a 996 c4s as a project car.

I, for one, love the 996, egglights and all

There’s a really great C4S for sale on Rennlist right now that has full-track prep, it’s a very nice car for a reasonable price.
Trying to convince myself that this high-mileage Turbo (link) is what I should buy, but I’m probably going to balk at the cost and find a nice early 996 with the LSD and dual-row IMS bearing instead. In any case, I need one.

I love the 996.
I love the 997.2.
I can’t bring myself to like the 997.1.

I don’t mind the 997.1, but I can’t deal with the fact that they’re ticking timebombs with regards to IMS issues, yet you can’t do anything about it like you can a 996. That plus the value delta between comparable 996/997.1s just doesn’t make any sense to me.

I’m in the same boat...I’m literally sitting at my desk coloring.

Hot take: Lobster claws are ugly
Also, with the addition of LED tail lights, DRLs, the 7 speed PDK, and new wheel designs, the 997.2 looks infinitely better.

I don’t mind lobster claws as much as some people do, but the 997.2 wheel choices are far superior for sure

Agreed.
The 911 Turbo II wheels are life.

Woah, I want that turbo.
